1953 Sixpence Coin Earrings - Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Memorabilia
1/4
Additional gift
The perfect gift set for someone special! A pair of 1953 Sixpence coin earrings with sterling silver ear posts and butterflies. This style of earrings is very on trend and will be the thing to be seen in this season. This pair of earrings will be handmade just for you - this is a unique design and unlike any other you will ever find on the highstreet (or on Etsy for that matter)!

The earrings feature two 1953 genuine Sixpence coins from the year of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. Both sides of the earrings are visible.
"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe". The Sixpence is believed to bring wealth and happiness in the marriage so why not modernise the tradition and gift a beautiful sixpence to the bride to wear as earrings instead? Ideal as bridesmaids gifts too! Much sought after, this style of earrings has become popular with celebrities due to its versatility and simplicity. It would look equally as good teamed with a casual daytime outfit as it would finishing off an evening dress. A fantastic wedding gift, anniversary gift, birthday gift - anything gift!

These stunning coin earrings are handmade to order just for you in our Cambridge workshop.

Silver is fast becoming scarce and expensive so grab your beautiful jewellery while you can! I only use genuine coins (no casts) so your jewellery was once currency! All other components (jump rings, ear post and butterflies) are sterling silver so are of a much higher quality than some of the other gold plated jewellery you may find.

Your earrings will arrive in a Mintique Of Cambridge jewellery box inside branded packaging - already perfect to gift straight to a loved one.

Each pair of earrings will arrive polished to a high shine which can be easily maintained with an occasional gentle rub with a microfibre cloth. Reverse of coin visible.

This pair of earrings has been designed to respectfully remember Her Majesty the late Queen Elizabeth II featuring genuine coins from her coronation year.

These earrings are also available in 24k gold plate as well as a set with a 1926 double coin sixpence necklace to mark her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's year of birth. Please see the section in my shop titled QE II Special Collection.

Why not add an extra something special? Under the drop down menu 'Additional gift' simply add the pouch and cloth option (see images) for a little extra gift. A white organic cotton pouch with a high quality polishing cloth presented in a stylish gold organza pouch. Always have somewhere safe to store Mintique of Cambridge jewellery whether at the gym, swimming, on holiday - anywhere! The perfect finish to your gift!

Each pair of earrings takes days to make with meticulous attention to detail at every stage. I only use genuine publicly circulated coins with every effort made to use those with minimal marking rejecting any that have become too worn by the hands of time. Finished jewellery may vary slightly from the images shown. Every piece is handled carefully to ensure you receive the highest quality product possible.

Please note that the 1953 sixpence coins are cupronickel so may contain metals intolerant to the wearer. Please consider this before purchase if you or the recipient has serious allergies. The ear posts however are hypoallergenic.

Please get in touch with me if you have any questions - I respond quickly and love to learn more about my customers needs and wants.

How do I choose my necklace length or ring size?

Necklaces: The easiest way to work out your preferred necklace size is to find a necklace you already wear and like the length of. Open it and measure clasp to clasp. This will give you the total length. Bear in mind if you are ordering a double coin necklace this will add to the over all length i.e ordering an 18 inch Sixpence double coin necklace will result in an overall length of 18 inches PLUS the width of the 2 coins.

Rings: Please place your order with your best guess. I always double check your ring size before sending your handmade ring to you - find out more about my Perfect Fit Method here.
