At Mintique of Cambridge, our passion is turning real coins into jewellery that marks life’s biggest moments. Every piece carries its own history - reimagined into a ring, necklace, or keepsake you can treasure for a lifetime. The woman behind the scenes

I’m Katie, the founder, product designer, and maker behind Mintique of Cambridge. Today the high street is flooded with mass produced, soulless, repetitive jewellery attempting to wow customers with glossy marketing and cheap materials. Inspired by my love of old coins - their history, their artistry, their quiet connection to Britain’s past - I started to create jewellery that was unusual, steeped in British heritage, and made with heart.

My passion lies in creating rings (especially wedding bands) but Mintique of Cambridge has grown into a home for all kinds of meaningful jewellery for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and milestones. Each piece is made to be more than an accessory: it’s a story you can wear. 

Every piece is handmade by me in my Cambridge workshop. From sourcing and shaping coins to the final polish, I personally oversee each stage. The result is jewellery that feels authentic, meaningful, and one-of-a-kind - a world apart from the repetitive designs on the high street.
