FAQ's
How can I make sure I give the correct ring size?
To ensure the perfect fit we send out a ring sizer to the address given free of charge as soon as we have your order. Instructions are included. We only use industry standard Durston tools. We ask for a ring size when placing your order but this may be slightly different depending on where you were measured. Double checking the size means you will have a ring that fits perfectly the first time. Please contact me as soon as you receive your ring sizer with the confirmed size (even if it is identical to the size given when you placed your order). If for any reason it is not exactly right then I am very happy to adjust the ring free of charge and only ask that you pay the shipping to me and the return shipping.

What if I receive my ring and I gave the wrong size?
Simply get in touch with me about the issue with your corrected size. I then ask that you send the ring back to me and I will adjust it and send it back free of charge.
What makes sterling silver such a great metal for rings?
All of our rings are made from sterling silver coins. Sterling silver has a lifetime of durability so it is an excellent choice for a ring. It also will not discolour your skin no matter how much you wear your ring. Pure silver is very soft so it is not appropriate for rings but sterling silver is an excellent choice for its strength, beauty, comfort and an extra bonus with a Mintique of Cambridge ring is that you will be wearing an antique ring with exquisite detail crafted a century or more ago.Learn more here: Is Sterling Silver Good for Rings?
Do you use genuine coins?
Yes, we only use genuine pre-circulated coins which means that at some point they were used as real currency. We don't use casts or imitation coins. You may find other products similar to ours on different sites that use 'fake' or imitation coins, some are even casts of designs repeated over and over again. By using authentic coins you can be assured that your piece will be unique and made to order just for you.
Will sterling silver last as a ring?
All of our rings are made from genuine sterling silver coins and as such are dated before 1920. Silver is a precious metal and is increasing in value every day. It is durable and light - stronger even than gold which makes it an ideal choice for jewellery that can be worn every day.
How do I look after my Mintique of Cambridge ring?
Your ring will arrive beautifully shiny and will stay that way for quite a while even after constant wearing. However you may want to re-create that 'fresh out of the box' shininess for special occasions or just to really show it off. We recommend using a simple micro-fibre cloth and giving the ring a gentle rub. You may like to use some Silvo Silver Polish Wadding to gentle bring back that stunning shine.
