The last of its kind - now worn with pride.

Handmade from a real 1964 Liberty Quarter, this coin ring is subtle, meaningful, and undeniably American. It’s the kind of piece that looks simple at first glance - but speaks volumes once you know its story.

Minted in the final year before the U.S. switched to cheaper metal blends, these 90% silver quarters are now collector’s items. They were everyday pocket change for an entire generation - until silver became too precious to spend.

This ring preserves that legacy. With its clear LIBERTY engraving and classic profile, it’s ideal for minimalist wearers, history buffs, or anyone looking for a touch of heritage in their everyday jewellery.

Coin history: 1964

The 1964 Quarter was the last of its kind - the final year that U.S. quarters were minted in 90% silver before switching to a copper-nickel blend. It features George Washington on the front, along with the bold LIBERTY inscription that gives this piece its character.

💡 Did you know?

  • 1964 was the last year for 90% silver quarters; starting in 1965, all circulating quarters were copper-nickel clad.
  • This ended a tradition of silver coinage in U.S. quarters dating back to 1796.
  • The word "LIBERTY" appears prominently - a nod to America’s founding ideals.
  • After 1964, silver quarters were widely hoarded and quickly disappeared from circulation.

The creation process

Each ring takes several days to make, with meticulous attention to detail at every stage. I only use genuine, publicly circulated coins, rejecting any that are overly worn or damaged by time.

Because of the handmade process each finished ring may differ slightly from the photos shown - that's what makes yours completely unique.

Your ring will arrive in a beautiful presentation box, ready to gift (or keep for yourself!).

How do I choose my necklace length or ring size?

Necklaces: The easiest way to work out your preferred necklace size is to find a necklace you already wear and like the length of. Open it and measure clasp to clasp. This will give you the total length. Bear in mind if you are ordering a double coin necklace this will add to the over all length i.e ordering an 18 inch Sixpence double coin necklace will result in an overall length of 18 inches PLUS the width of the 2 coins.

Rings: Please place your order with your best guess. I always double check your ring size before sending your handmade ring to you - find out more about my Perfect Fit Method here.
