The perfect gift set for someone special! A pair of British Queen Elizabeth II Sixpence coin earrings with sterling silver ear posts and butterflies.
These handmade to order earrings feature two genuine Sixpence coins from the year of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. Both sides of the earrings are visible.
Includes a beautifully designed Sixpence history card, sharing the story and symbolism behind this iconic British coin - from traditional wedding customs to its place in everyday life.
"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe". The Sixpence is believed to bring wealth and happiness in the marriage so why not modernise the tradition and gift a beautiful sixpence to the bride to wear as earrings instead? Ideal as bridesmaids gifts too! If you are planning a wedding, head to our Bride and Bridesmaids Bundle Builder to add this piece (and more) and save on your full set. For the groom and his party, build your set and save with our Groom & Groomsmen Bundle Builder.
Whether worn alone or paired with the matching sixpence necklace, single or two coin, this is a piece that feels timeless rather than trend-led. When purchased with the matching necklace, these earrings are automatically discounted at checkout.
For the perfect gift we have a luxury Mintique of Cambridge branded jewellery box - simply add it to your order.

Full Description
Full Description
- Includes a beautifully designed Sixpence history card, sharing the story, symbolism, and tradition behind this iconic British coin - from “something old” wedding customs to its place in everyday life.
- Each pair of earrings will arrive polished to a high shine which can be easily maintained with an occasional gentle rub with a microfibre cloth. Reverse of coin visible.
- Silver is fast becoming scarce and expensive so grab your beautiful jewellery while you can! I only use genuine coins (no casts) so your jewellery was once currency.
- I only use genuine publicly circulated coins with every effort made to use those with minimal marking rejecting any that have become too worn by the hands of time. Finished jewellery may vary slightly from the images shown. Every piece is handled carefully to ensure you receive the highest quality product possible.
- Please note that these sixpence coins are cupronickel so may contain metals intolerant to the wearer. Please consider this before purchase if you or the recipient has serious allergies. The ear posts however are hypoallergenic sterling silver.
