A timeless ring, steeped in meaning.

This handmade sterling silver coin ring is crafted from a genuine British sixpence - a coin long associated with luck, love, and lifelong connection.

Each piece is carefully shaped and polished by hand in our Cambridge UK workshop, giving it a sleek, smooth finish while preserving the integrity and story of the original coin. Lightweight, low-profile, and beautifully understated, this ring is ideal for everyday wear or as a unique wedding band.

Whether you’re choosing a meaningful date, a birth year, or simply drawn to the charm of history, your sixpence ring carries a hidden story - one you can wear every day.

Coin history

The British sixpence was first minted in 1551 and remained in circulation until 1980. Your ring may feature Queen Elizabeth II or King George VI, depending on the year you choose - each coin is a small piece of British heritage.

💡 Did you know?

  • Sixpences were traditionally tucked into brides’ shoes for good luck ("Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a Sixpence in your shoe.")
  • In 1937, a Sixpence could buy two loaves of bread.
  • Some families passed Sixpences down for generations as wedding tokens.

The creation process of your beautiful new ring

Each ring takes several days to make, with meticulous attention to detail at every stage. I only use genuine, publicly circulated coins, rejecting any that are overly worn or damaged by time.

Because of the handmade process and natural variations in minting years, each finished ring may differ slightly from the photos shown - that's what makes yours completely unique.

Your ring will arrive in a beautiful presentation box, ready to gift (or keep for yourself!).
