A timeless bridal keepsake, handmade with care in our Cambridge workshop.

This 'Something blue' sixpence bridal safety pin brings together tradition, symbolism, and fine detail, designed to be worn discreetly on a wedding day, then treasured long after. A thoughtful gift for any bride, and a modern heirloom rooted in British wedding folklore.

At its heart hangs a genuine Queen Elizabeth II sixpence, struck between 1953 and 1967 - the classic era of the wedding sixpence, and a true something old. Each coin is carefully cleaned and preserved to retain its original character and history.

Paired with this are two elegant charms:

  • A luminous white freshwater pearl, symbolising purity, love, and new beginnings - a nod to something new

  • A faceted Blue Topaz teardrop catching the light with soft sparkle - your something blue

The charms are suspended from a silver-tone safety pin and finished with a soft baby blue ribbon, tied by hand for a delicate, understated finish. Designed to sit neatly on the inside of a wedding dress, bouquet wrap, or bridal bag, this piece is lightweight, meaningful, and full of intention.

Each pin is assembled by hand, making every piece subtly unique.

This piece can be upgraded with our Mintique of Cambridge luxury branded jewellery box, designed to complement the heritage nature of our jewellery and make the unboxing experience feel truly special. Perfect for gifting.

How do I choose my necklace length or ring size?

Necklaces: The easiest way to work out your preferred necklace size is to find a necklace you already wear and like the length of. Open it and measure clasp to clasp. This will give you the total length. Bear in mind if you are ordering a double coin necklace this will add to the over all length i.e ordering an 18 inch Sixpence double coin necklace will result in an overall length of 18 inches PLUS the width of the 2 coins.

Rings: Please place your order with your best guess. I always double check your ring size before sending your handmade ring to you - find out more about my Perfect Fit Method here.
