Queen Elizabeth II Sixpence Double Coin Necklace | 18k Gold Plated
1/11
Additional gift

Gift the perfect handmade necklace to friends, family or even bridesmaids with this sixpence necklace in 18 carat gold plate featuring two soldered Sixpence coins, one head and one tail facing both ways made popular by TV presenter Holly Willoughby. The 18 carat yellow gold plated coins are suspended on a delicate high quality sterling silver chain and finished with a high polish.

We've innovated our design with a significant improvement: the addition of a clear, jewelry-grade epoxy resin on one side of the necklace. This protective layer is crafted to rest gently against your skin or clothing, effectively preserving the necklace's radiant gold plating. This subtle yet essential enhancement ensures that the beauty of your necklace endures through regular wear, keeping it as stunning as the day you first put it on. Please note that the resin is intended to face inwards, in contact with your skin or garments, safeguarding the gold from natural wear and maintaining its exquisite luster.

One side of the coin has an attractive floral design and the head of Queen Elizabeth II on the other side.

"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe". The Sixpence is believed to bring wealth and happiness in the marriage so why not modernise the tradition and gift a pair of beautiful sixpences to the bride to wear as a necklace instead? Ideal as bridesmaids gifts too! Much sought after, this style of necklace has become popular with celebrities due to its versatility and simplicity. It would look equally as good teamed with a casual daytime outfit as it would finishing off an evening dress. A fantastic wedding gift, anniversary gift, birthday gift - anything gift!

Each chain is 18 inches in length. There is an additional jump ring on the chain so that they can be worn at the 16 inch length.

Please note the chain length selected is for the chain only and is added to the pendant. This pendant is 33mm in width so, as the chain is 18 inches long, the entire length of the piece is 19.3 inches/49cm long.

Please note that these coins are cupronickel so please consider this if you have known severe allergies. Anyone who suspects that they or the wearer of this necklace should strongly consider if they have a nickel allergy - although I have taken steps to protect the wearer a small amount of nickel may still make contact with the skin. If you suspect you may be intolerant please find a very similar listing to this in my shop where I use Sterling silver sixpence coins. These sterling silver necklaces are hypoallergenic. I have lots of other necklaces and jewellery including earrings, rings and cufflinks in my shop. Please browse for more designs.

Each necklace takes days to make with meticulous attention to detail at every stage. We only use genuine publicly circulated coins with every effort made to use those with minimal marking rejecting any that have become too worn by the hands of time. Finished necklaces may vary slightly from the images shown. Every one is handled carefully to ensure you receive the highest quality product possible. Presented in a stylish box.

How do I choose my necklace length or ring size?

Necklaces: The easiest way to work out your preferred necklace size is to find a necklace you already wear and like the length of. Open it and measure clasp to clasp. This will give you the total length. Bear in mind if you are ordering a double coin necklace this will add to the over all length i.e ordering an 18 inch Sixpence double coin necklace will result in an overall length of 18 inches PLUS the width of the 2 coins.

Rings: Please place your order with your best guess. I always double check your ring size before sending your handmade ring to you - find out more about my Perfect Fit Method here.
