As many of you know, Mintique of Cambridge regularly ships handmade jewellery all over the world. Unfortunately, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to temporarily pause shipping to the United States.
What’s happening?
The US government has announced new tariffs on certain imports, set to take effect from 25th August 2025. At the time of writing, the final product lists and tariff rates have not been confirmed. This means that jewellery items, like our coin rings and necklaces, may soon be subject to additional import charges when they arrive in the US.
Why have I turned off US shipping?
I don’t want any of my American customers to be surprised by unexpected bills at the border. Until we know exactly how these tariffs will be applied, pausing shipping is the fairest and most transparent option.
What does this mean for you?
- If you’re based in the US, you won’t be able to check out with shipping at this time.
- I hope this is a temporary measure - I will review it as soon as the tariff situation becomes clear.
- Customers in the UK and others outside the US are not affected, and shipping continues as normal.
